This study used an experimental pretest-posttest one-group design. There are two types of instruments used, namely data collection instruments and experimental guides. The experimental guide consists of a reality group counseling book based on Qur'anic values, a guide for counselors, while the measuring instrument consists of a scale of responsibility for prayer worship developed from Lickona's theory. The results of the validity test using Pearson Product-Moment showed that all items had a significance of <0.05; it can be said that all items were valid with a correlation coefficient between 0.262-0.644. The results of the reliability test showed a Cronbach's Alpha value of 0.856, which means that the scale of responsibility for prayer worship used was reliable. Based on the Wilcoxon test in the group, a sig. A value of 0.005 <0.05 was obtained. then there is a statistically significant difference between the pretest and posttest measurements, rejecting the null hypothesis and accepting H1. It can be said that group counseling based on Al-Quran values is effective in increasing students' responsibility in carrying out prayer.
Emi Rizqil Fauziyah M. The research is motivated by the growing need to understand the theological foundations of two major religions that are often simplistically juxtaposed in interfaith discourse. Employing library research as its method, this study applies philosophical hermeneutics and reflective engagement with sacred texts, including the Bhagavad Gita, Upanishads, Vedas, and the Qur’an. The findings reveal that while Panca sraddha and the Islamic pillars of faith serve similar normative functions as the foundations of belief, they differ significantly in terms of epistemological, ontological, and soteriological structures. These differences are particularly evident in concepts such as Brahman–Allah, atman–ruh, karma–deeds, punarbhava–punarbhava-the Day of Judgment, and moksa–heaven. The study contributes to the development of interreligious discourse in Indonesia by offering a theologically grounded and context-sensitive analytical framework. Nonetheless, the research has limitations, including restricted access to traditional Hindu commentaries and limited direct engagement with religious authorities from both traditions. These challenges underscore the need for further studies employing interdisciplinary and collaborative approaches to deepen interreligious understanding.
Juita Juita Indra Harahap Copyright (c) 2025 Juita Juita, Indra Harahap http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 2025-06-14 2025-06-14 14 2 363 376 10.54437/urwatulwutsqo.v14i2.2195 Identifying Teaching at the Right Level (TaRL) Approach Practices in Primary School Learning https://jurnal.stituwjombang.ac.id/index.php/UrwatulWutsqo/article/view/2141
This study aims to identify the implementation of the Teaching at the Right Level (TaRL) approach in sixth-grade learning at SD Negeri Model Terpadu Madani. Using a descriptive qualitative method, data were collected through in-depth interviews, classroom observations, and document analysis. The results indicate that TaRL is implemented through three key stages: initial diagnostic assessment to map student ability levels, grouping based on literacy and numeracy levels, and level-based differentiated instruction accompanied by ongoing formative evaluation. Triangulated data from multiple sources strengthens the finding that this approach enhances learning relevance and accommodates student diversity. The main challenges include increased teacher workload, time constraints, and the need for ongoing institutional support and professional training. This research contributes to the development of level-based instructional strategies in Indonesian primary education and recommends the systemic integration of the TaRL approach into teacher training programs and the Merdeka curriculum framework
Sefriyana Sefriyana Herlina Herlina Asriani Asriani Rizal Rizal Ryan A. The rationale for this research stems from the growing importance of employing popular media as an educational medium to cultivate moral awareness among younger generations, particularly within the context of Islamic religious education. A qualitative approach was adopted, utilising the library research method. Data were gathered through the examination of episodes from the Dressrosa Arc accessed via digital platforms such as Telegram and Bstation, and were subsequently analysed in conjunction with relevant literature, including Kant’s philosophical texts, scholarly journals, and academic e-books. The data were analysed using a descriptive narrative method encompassing data reduction, categorisation, interpretation, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that the Dressrosa Arc conveys key moral values such as honesty, moral courage, justice, and respect for human dignity. These values are consistent with Kantian principles that emphasise duty-based ethics and adherence to universal moral laws. Within the framework of Islamic education, such values possess the potential to contribute significantly to the development of morally upright and socially responsible individuals
Nur Laily Alfiatul Izza Kustiana Arisanti Ainur Rofiq Sofa Copyright (c) 2025 Nur Laily Alfiatul Izza, Kustiana Arisanti, Ainur Rofiq Sofa http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 2025-06-15 2025-06-15 14 2 389 405 10.54437/urwatulwutsqo.v14i2.2130 Implementation of the Children Learning in Sciences (CLiS) Learning Model to Improve Students' Science Learning Outcomes https://jurnal.stituwjombang.ac.id/index.php/UrwatulWutsqo/article/view/2137
This study aims to explain the application of the Children Learning in Science (CLiS) model in improving the science learning outcomes of fourth-grade students at SD Inpres 1 Tondo. The results indicate that the mentoring program at Masjid Syamsul Ulum is systematically designed with modules, measurable evaluation rubrics, and a sustainable mentor regeneration system, and is well-received by students. This integration has successfully internalized Islamic values while strengthening students' collaboration, soft skills, and social responsibility as digital native learners. In conclusion, the campus mosque mentoring program is proven to be strategic in supporting professional, adaptive Islamic character development and is worthy of replication in other universities.
Asdianur Hadi Roni Nugraha Nurmawan Nurmawan Copyright (c) 2025 Asdianur Hadi, Roni Nugraha, Nurmawan Nurmawan http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 2025-07-11 2025-07-11 14 2 592 615 10.54437/urwatulwutsqo.v14i2.2305 Implementation of Audio-Visual Assisted Problem-Based Learning (PBL) Model to Improve Critical Thinking Skills https://jurnal.stituwjombang.ac.id/index.php/UrwatulWutsqo/article/view/2343
This study aims to improve the Critical Thinking Skills of Grade IV Students of SDN 2 Talise through Classroom Action Research (CAR). CAR is a research method deliberately conducted in classroom settings to enhance learning quality. The research follows Kemmis and McTaggart's model, comprising four stages: Planning, Action, Observation, and Reflection. Conducted at SDN 2 Talise during the 2024/2025 academic year, this study involved 17 grade IV students as research subjects. Data collection employed both non-test and test techniques. Non-test methods included interviews, observations, and documentation, while test data was gathered through essay assessments evaluating students' critical thinking skills in social studies material. The study implemented Problem-Based Learning (PBL) assisted by audio-visual media. Results demonstrated progressive improvement across cycles. In Pre-Action, classical learning completion achieved 25%. Cycle I showed improvement to 30.76%, representing a 5.76% increase. Most significantly, Cycle II demonstrated substantial progress with 89.41% classical learning completion, indicating a remarkable 58.65% improvement from Cycle I. These findings reveal that PBL implementation with audio-visual support effectively enhances students' critical thinking abilities. The dramatic improvement from 25% to 89.41% completion rates across the research cycles demonstrates the model's effectiveness. The progressive enhancement pattern confirms that structured problem-based approaches, when properly implemented with multimedia support, can significantly develop elementary students' critical thinking skills in social studies education. Therefore, the Problem-Based Learning model proves successful in improving Grade IV students' critical thinking skills at SDN 2 Talise.
Andi Mustika Nurul Fitriah Aras Sinta Satria Dewi Pendit Azizah Azizah Khairunnisa Khairunnisa Copyright (c) 2025 Andi Mustika, Nurul Fitriah Aras, Sinta Satria Dewi Pendit, Azizah Azizah, Khairunnisa Khairunnisa http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 2025-07-17 2025-07-17 14 2 616 636 10.54437/urwatulwutsqo.v14i2.2343 The Implementation of Total Quality Management (TQM) from Qur’anic Perspective and Its Problems in Schools https://jurnal.stituwjombang.ac.id/index.php/UrwatulWutsqo/article/view/2228
This study aims to explore the implementation of Total Quality Management (TQM) from the Quranic perspective in the context of schools and madrasahs. The method used is a systematic literature review with content analysis of the Quran, tafsir, and literature related to Islamic education management. The research results show three TQM principles aligned with Quranic values: continuous improvement (islah) based on QS. Ar-Ra'd: 11, total involvement (syura) in QS. Al-Shura: 38, and customer focus as a form of service in QS. Al-Baqarah: 195. TQM implementation includes top management commitment, quality team formation, human resource training, performance measurement, and continuous evaluation. Major challenges include resistance to change, resource limitations, lack of stakeholder support, and organizational culture misalignment. Recommended solutions include intensive socialization, quality culture development, resource optimization, and using Quranic values as implementation foundation. The study concludes that integrating TQM with Quranic principles has potential to improve educational quality while strengthening student character formation. Research contributions include developing educational management models that integrate spiritual values with contemporary management principles for Islamic educational institutions
Aris Sutikno Dakir Dakir Jasiah Jasiah Copyright (c) 2025 Aris Sutikno, Dakir Dakir, Jasiah Jasiah http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 2025-07-22 2025-07-22 14 2 637 656 10.54437/urwatulwutsqo.v14i2.2228 Engineering (Hilah) Of Guardians For Child Marriage Of Admiral From an Islamic Law Perspective https://jurnal.stituwjombang.ac.id/index.php/UrwatulWutsqo/article/view/2372
The adulterous child marriage that occurred in Sreseh District, Sampang presents a dilemma between normative rules that require a guardian judge and the practice of engineering marriage guardians for social interests, so this empirical legal research through literature study, interviews, observations, and documentation examines the hilah pattern, motivation, impact, and Islamic legal review. Thus, four patterns were identified: taukil biological father to guardian judge, contract in a closed place that was then announced, double contract by biological father and guardian judge, and unregistered marriage with taqlid Hanafi school or walimuhakkam. Engineering is driven by the desire to cover up shame, maintain social conduciveness, prevent the annulment of the marriage by the groom, and guarantee the validity of the contract, but has an impact on reducing household harmony to divorce. From the fiqh perspective, a marriage remains valid because the contract is ratified by a judge or by the school of thought followed, while the validity of manipulation depends on the harm: it is permitted if it prevents disturbances or anarchy, but is forbidden if it is solely for the benefit of the bride's family so that the marriage is not considered.
Muhsin Luki Syamsu Madyan Dzulfikar Rodafi Copyright (c) 2025 Muhsin Luki, Syamsu Madyan, Dzulfikar Rodafi http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 2025-07-28 2025-07-28 14 2 657 673 10.54437/urwatulwutsqo.v14i2.2372 Teacher Assessment in Increasing Students' Learning Independence in PAI Subjects https://jurnal.stituwjombang.ac.id/index.php/UrwatulWutsqo/article/view/2369
The purpose of the study was to analyze the condition of students' learning independence at SMPN 3 North Rantau, teacher assessment in improving students' learning independence in PAI subjects, and indicators of students' learning independence in class VIII-4. This research uses a qualitative research approach with a descriptive research type. The data collection techniques in this study were observation, interview, and documentation. The results showed that: (1) The condition of learning independence of students of SMPN 3 Rantau Utara is quite varied; some students already have independence in learning, and some are still less independent students. (2) The assessment carried out by PAI teachers in increasing students' learning independence is the use of appropriate learning and assessment methods, giving independent assignments, as well as formative assessments, assessments in discussions, and feedback. (3) Indicators of learning independence of students in class VIII-4 are confidence, responsibility, active in learning, and discipline in learning.
Aldila Winda Pramita Nurmawati Nurmawati Copyright (c) 2025 Aldila Winda Pramita, Nurmawati Nurmawati http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 2025-07-29 2025-07-29 14 2 674 687 10.54437/urwatulwutsqo.v14i2.2369 The Taking and Use of Dowry by the Bride's Parents: A Sociological and Islamic Legal Perspective https://jurnal.stituwjombang.ac.id/index.php/UrwatulWutsqo/article/view/2374
One form of Islamic respect for women is the provision of a dowry, which is the wife's full property. Essentially, the dowry is an absolute right of the wife. However, in Padurungan Tanah Merah Village, Bangkalan, a predominantly Muslim village, a tradition still exists where the bride's parents take the gift in the form of money and may not use it for the wife. This prompted researchers to examine this issue in more depth using a juridical-empirical approach and qualitative methods using interviews, observation, and documentation. The results of the study revealed three patterns of dowry use by parents: it is considered the full right of the parents, it is distributed to unmarried relatives, or it is used to cover wedding expenses. Sociologically, this practice is motivated by the belief that it is taboo for the bride to use the dowry, although this tradition has no basis and tends to be superstitious (tathoyur). Under Islamic law, this act constitutes the taking of another person's property, which requires the wife's consent (thibi nafsi).
Adam Muhsin Dzulfikar Rodafi Syamsu Madyan Copyright (c) 2025 Adam Muhsin, Dzulfikar Rodafi, Syamsu Madyan http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 2025-07-29 2025-07-29 14 2 688 705 10.54437/urwatulwutsqo.v14i2.2374 The Concept of Madurese Customary Inheritance from the Perspective of Anthropology and Islamic Law https://jurnal.stituwjombang.ac.id/index.php/UrwatulWutsqo/article/view/2384
The Pakaan Dajah Village community in Madura has a tradition of inheritance distribution that deviates from the faraid system of Islamic law. In other words, this village has an inheritance distribution system that does not conform to the distribution of inheritance as outlined in Islamic law. This study examines the implementation of customary inheritance from the perspective of legal anthropology and Islamic law using a juridical-empirical and juridical-sociological approach through qualitative methods. Data were collected through literature studies, interviews, observations, and documentation. The results show that inheritance distribution is carried out in two ways: during the testator's lifetime through a gift or will, and after the testator's death through deliberation and consensus among the heirs. This tradition tends to divide assets equally without distinction of gender, because men and women are considered to have equal value and roles in the family. This tradition is considered fairer and minimizes conflict, and is deeply rooted in society. Contextually, this inheritance practice can be justified because it is in line with the principle of deliberation and consensus in Islam and can be categorized as takharuj in Hanafi jurisprudence, although under certain conditions, the distribution can still be returned to the faroid system.
Masduki Masduki Dzulfikar Rodafi Syamsu Madyan Copyright (c) 2025 Masduki Masduki, Dzulfikar Rodafi, Syamsu Madyan http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 2025-07-30 2025-07-30 14 2 706 724 10.54437/urwatulwutsqo.v14i2.2384 The Role of Santri Organizations in Realizing the Vision and Mission of Islamic Boarding Schools https://jurnal.stituwjombang.ac.id/index.php/UrwatulWutsqo/article/view/2381
This research aims to find out how student organizations provide support to students in Islamic boarding schools, especially in achieving the vision and mission of Islamic boarding schools. The research employed a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design and involved three Grade IX classes at Junior High School Madani Boarding School Celak, selected using purposive sampling. A cognitive learning test was used as the research instrument. Since the data were not normally distributed, the analysis was conducted using the non-parametric Kruskal-Wallis test. The results showed no significant difference in students’ cognitive learning outcomes among the PBL, PJBL, and IL groups, with a significance value of 0.920 (p > 0.05). Thus, the three learning models demonstrated relatively equal effectiveness in improving students' cognitive achievement. This study recommends optimizing the implementation of each model through innovative strategies and learning media to further enhance learning outcomes.
Yuni Purnama Sari Anis Fahrurozi Isti Khomah Nia Rosita Unung Lisnawati Bambang Samsul Arifin Copyright (c) 2025 Yuni Purnama Sari, Anis Fahrurozi, Isti Khomah, Nia Rosita, Unung Lisnawati, Bambang Samsul Arifin http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 2025-08-06 2025-08-06 14 2 741 750 10.54437/urwatulwutsqo.v14i2.2190 Improving Student Learning Outcomes in Social Studies Subjects Through Inquiry Model https://jurnal.stituwjombang.ac.id/index.php/UrwatulWutsqo/article/view/2169
This classroom action research aimed to improve fifth-grade students' social studies learning outcomes through the implementation of an inquiry learning model at SD Inpres 1 Talise. The study employed Kemmis and McTaggart's model involving 32 students across two cycles. Data were collected through learning outcome tests, observation sheets for teacher and student activities, interviews, and documentation. Quantitative data were analyzed using percentage calculations for individual absorption and classical completeness, while qualitative data followed Miles and Huberman's interactive model. Pre-action results showed only 25% of students achieved the minimum completion criteria (KKM) with a class average of 60.68%. Following inquiry learning implementation, Cycle I demonstrated improvement with 43.75% classical completeness and 68.15% class average. Cycle II showed significant enhancement with 90.63% classical completeness and 82.5% class average, meeting the success criteria of 85% student completion. Teacher activity quality improved from 62.4% (good) in Cycle I to 95.2% (very good) in Cycle II, while student activity increased from 60.76% to 90.76%. The inquiry learning model effectively enhanced students' critical thinking skills, active participation, and conceptual understanding of social studies material, demonstrating its effectiveness in student-centered learning approaches.
Mohamad Alfikri Nashrullah Nashrullah Zulnuraini Zulnuraini Khairunnisa Khairunnisa Copyright (c) 2025 Mohamad Alfikri, Nashrullah Nashrullah, Zulnuraini Zulnuraini, Khairunnisa Khairunnisa http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 2025-08-07 2025-08-07 14 2 751 762 10.54437/urwatulwutsqo.v14i2.2169 Implementation of Training Management for Leadership Development https://jurnal.stituwjombang.ac.id/index.php/UrwatulWutsqo/article/view/2397
This study aims to analyze the implementation of training management in supporting leadership development, identify obstacles encountered, and formulate effective strategies. The research method used is a qualitative approach with data collection techniques through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation studies. The results of the study indicate that: the implementation of training management has been carried out systematically through the stages of planning, implementation, and evaluation. Training planning is based on competency needs, HR nomination results, and the results of coordination with educational and industrial stakeholders. The training implementation uses a blended learning approach and involves professional instructors from both internal and external sources. Training evaluation is conducted using an outcomes-based model to ensure participants can apply leadership skills in the workplace. The main obstacles faced include the high turnover of school principals that hinders program sustainability, limited teacher participation due to geographical and information constraints, and the limited number of experienced instructors. However, BBPPMPV BBL has responded to these challenges by developing an online monitoring system, expanding partnerships, and refining the mapping of training needs periodically. Strategies to improve the effectiveness of training management are carried out through a cross-sectoral collaborative approach, the integration of a merit system in participant selection, and an emphasis on strengthening leadership character based on the values of integrity, adaptability, and innovation. The Teaching Factory approach is an important part of forming leaders who are resilient, solution-oriented, and responsive to change.
Nindya Azzahrah Syafri Fadillah Marpaung Copyright (c) 2025 Nindya Azzahrah, Syafri Fadillah Marpaung http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 2025-08-07 2025-08-07 14 2 763 774 10.54437/urwatulwutsqo.v14i2.2397 The Contribution of Muallimah Putih to Islamic Education in Batu Bara Regency https://jurnal.stituwjombang.ac.id/index.php/UrwatulWutsqo/article/view/2420
This study aims to analyze how educational institutions by Muallimah Putih and analyze the role of Muallimah Putih in the field of Islamic education. Therefore, the term "maintenance" is known. The provision of maintenance is divided into two types: maintenance provided within marriage and maintenance provided outside of marriage. One type of maintenance provided outside of marriage is the iddah maintenance, which is the mandatory maintenance provided to the wife during her iddah period. However, its implementation deviates from the rules. The purpose of this study is to confirm the obligation of iddah maintenance for husbands. This type of research is an empirical juridical study with a case study approach. The research technique was conducted through observation and interviews with informants in Demangan Village, Bangkalan, using descriptive qualitative analysis techniques. Analyzing the applicable regulations, it is clear that the provisions of maintenance are well-regulated. This study is called the heredity of the child of adultery. This view is rooted in a tradition that directly links the nature and character of children with heredity. This study uses an empirical legal method with a legal anthropology approach to examine in depth the practice of Madurese rejection of children resulting from adultery (children of adultery). Primary legal materials were obtained from observations and interviews with the Banyubunih Village community. Secondary legal materials were obtained from concepts relevant to the issues in the study. The results of this study identified that the Banyubunih community considers heredity as a very influential factor in determining the nature, character, and behavior of individuals, especially in children of adultery. This belief is based on the principles of biological determinism and hereditary essentialism, which argue that negative traits and deviant behavior are inherited through the "dirty blood" of parents. As a result, children born from extramarital relationships are placed in the lowest social position, without the opportunity to demonstrate their morals and behavior independently
Syahrullah Asyhari Moh.
