HOST PARTNER LEARNING: UPAYA MENINGKATKAN KEMAMPUAN PESERTA DIDIK BERKOMUNIKASI SECARA VERBAL MELALUI INTEGRASI PEMBELAJARAN PAI DAN SENI DI SMKN 2 KASIHAN BANTUL YOGYAKARTA

This article is about the analysis of the increasing of students ability to communicate verbally in Islamic religious education (PAI) subject. This research is descriptivequalitative, with the principal, vice principal, educators (PAI teachers) and students as research subjects. In collecting the data, the researcher used techniques of interview, observation and documentation. To analyse the data, the researcher used reduction, display, and drawing conclusions. Based on the results of the data analysis, it shows that SMKN 2 Kasihan has implemented a student centered learning approach. The second, this school carries out cooperative learning by integrating Islamic Education and arts in the learning process, PAI and art materials are integrated in the Host Partner Learning method. The third is the integration strategy of Islamic education and arts learning in the form of implementation an active and fun learning model with varied methods and empowering the students’ artistic potential in the learning process.
